Although it was initially intended to be released as a single, the song was instead included as an album track on their album “A Date with the Everly Brothers”. The Everlys’ version of “Love Hurts” was never officially released as a single, a decision that was largely due to a falling out with their manager and publisher, Wesley Rose.
