About the song

“All My Loving” is a song by the English rock band the Beatles, from their second UK album With the Beatles (1963). It was written by Paul McCartney (credited to Lennon–McCartney) and produced by George Martin.

Although not officially released as a single in the United Kingdom or the United States, the song drew considerable radio airplay, prompting EMI to issue it as the title track of an EP. The song was released as a single in Canada, where it became a number one hit. The Canadian single was imported into the US in enough quantities to peak at number 45 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in April 1964.

“All My Loving” is a midtempo rock and roll song with a doo-wop influence. The lyrics are about a young man who is saying goodbye to his girlfriend as he goes on tour with his band. He promises to write to her every day and that he will be back soon. The song is notable for its use of harmony vocals, which were a trademark of the Beatles’ early sound.

“All My Loving” has been covered by many artists, including Elvis Presley, Elton John, and the Beach Boys. It has also been featured in several films, including A Hard Day’s Night (1964) and Help! (1965).

Lyrics

Close your eyes and I’ll kiss you
Tomorrow I’ll miss you
Remember I’ll always be true
And then while I’m away
I’ll write home every day
And I’ll send all my loving to you

I’ll pretend that I’m kissing
The lips I am missing
And hope that my dreams will come true
And then while I’m away
I’ll write home every day
And I’ll send all my loving to you

All my loving I will send to you
All my loving, darling I’ll be true

Close your eyes and I’ll kiss you
Tomorrow I’ll miss you
Remember I’ll always be true
And then while I’m away
I’ll write home every day
And I’ll send all my loving to you

All my loving I will send to you
All my loving, darling I’ll be true
All my loving, all my loving ooh
All my loving I will send to you
